Department of Pharmacy

Introduction

Department of Pharmacy provides pharmaceutical care (pharmaceutical care) for individual clients / patients in hospital with a focus on practical clinical pharmacy. The department controls the rational use of medicines in the hospital and assist in the process of procurement, storage and supply of medicines and pharmaceutical preparations to the wards and units in the hospital.

Department of Pharmacy also provides services in hospitals and health clinics nearby government in all matters relating to drugs or treatment and provides Drug Formulary - Medicine Hospital were updated and approved by the Committee Medications - Medicine Hospital.

Department of Pharmacy locations include Level 1 that puts Unit Clinical Pharmacy Specialist, Pharmacy Inpatient Unit and Procurement and Supply Unit. Pharmacy Emergency Department also placed on Tier 2 and Satellite Pharmacy Unit placed at Level 3 and Level 7, and include pharmaceutical unit at the National Leprosy Control Centre (KKN)

Overall management of the department is the responsibility of the Chief Pharmacist (Pharmacist U54).

The Objective of the Department

  • Help patients achieve and maintain optimal health status to enable it to carry out economic and social activities are productive through quality service.
  • Provide pharmacy services in a professional and timely according to the needs of patients.
  • Improve service procurement and supply of medicines on an ongoing basis by the patient's needs Sungai Buloh Hospital.

The Objective of the Division / Unit

Clinical Pharmacy Specialist:

  • To provide optimal pharmaceutical care services by providing medicines appropriately and quickly

Inpatient pharmacy:

  • To create an effective system of dispensing drugs to every ward and unit quickly and accurately, cut costs and reduce wastage drug drugs through drug use monitoring system.

Pharmaceutical Production - Aseptic and Non-Aseptic:

  • To produce medicinal products (aseptic and non-aseptic) safe, effective and of high quality.

Pharmacy Drug Store:

  • To ensure the supply of medicines is cost effective, adequate and sustained in the right quantity and at a reasonable time.

Activities prime 5S gotong-royong was held on 15 February 2015. Successful All staff of Department of Pharmacy has been working hard to ensure that the characteristics of the 5S practice in the work place, respectively. Well done to all involved
