Department of Radiology



Department of Diagnostic Imaging provides diagnostic imaging services including invasive therapeutic procedures specific to inpatient, outpatient, day treatment patients and patients from the Emergency Department of Hospital Sungai Buloh. The service also includes patients from other hospitals and clinics.


Aims to provide radiology services quality and performance through personnel being compassionate, professional and dedicated, through the use of existing technology for optimal and appropriate.


To provide diagnostic and interventional radiology services quality and quality.

The Objective of the Department

Provide clinical support services to the diagnostic imaging examination on patients referred to the objective to help doctors in the management of patients with a diagnosis quickly and accurately. The program also helps doctors evaluate the progression of the disease or its treatment. The program is also involved in the procedure "interventional" as a therapeutic measure. The department is a referral center for imaging services from hospitals and health clinics in the state.

Services Provided

  • General Radiography. Conducted in:
    • Main Department.
    • Emergency department - 24-hour service.
    • X-ray unit, corruption.
  • fluoroscopy
    • Service typical radiographic contrast media use various body parts in the Main Department.
    • Endoscopic screening procedures / ERCP in Day Care Unit.
  • Computerised Tomographic Scan
    • Checks carried out on the basis of an appointment system for elective cases.
    • 24-hour service for inspection cases of "urgent" cases of emergency such as trauma and acute cases such as stroke.
    • As a guide for interventional radiology procedures (CT guided) This service is carried out in the Department of Radiology Unit and the Emergency Department.
  • Ultrasound examination / Doppler
    • Run in the Main Department.
    • Conducted in the Emergency Department.
    • Run in the Main Department of the Guidance For Therapeutic / Interventional Procedures when needed.
  • Mammography
    • Made for cases referred from Sungai Buloh Hospital Breast Clinic, Clinic of Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital Sungai Buloh, Sungai Buloh Health Clinic, Hospital Tanjong Karang, Kelana Jaya Health Clinic Health Clinic Health Clinic Bestari Jaya and Kuala Selangor.
    • Researched interventions such as ductogram hookwire localization and stereotactic biopsy examination.
  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
    • Conducted in MRI Unit, Department of Primary.
    • This examination is conducted by appointment.
    • The cases can be done with the help of general anesthesia.
  • Angiography and Interventional Radiology
    • Conducted in Interventional Radiology Unit, Department of
    • Checks carried out by an appointment to the elective cases.
    • Emergency cases made up the call.
    • The cases can be done with the help of general anesthesia.
  • Emergency Radiology Services
    • General radiography was performed in the emergency department 24 hours a day.
    • CT scans performed in the emergency department 24 hours a day.
    • Ultrasound was performed in the emergency department on call 24 hours a day.
  • Mobile Radiology Services
    • Radiography Simple Motion services for terminally ill patients in the wards, ICU, NICU, CCU, HDW, Burn Unit, Forensic, and the Emergency Department.
    • Ultrasound Simple Motion services for terminally ill patients in the wards, ICU, NICU, CCU, HDW, Burn Unit, Board of Surgery and Emergency Department.
    • Fluoroscopy Simple Motion services (Mobile C-Arm) at the Theatre Hall, Day Care, Emergency Surgery Council, and CCU.
  • Clinical Radiology Services
    • Breast Assessment Clinic - for cases referred by the hospital and other hospitals for further evaluation.
    • Combined Musculoskeletal Clinic - for cases referred by orthopedic specialist for para-spinal injection, Vertebro-plasty.
    • Neuro Vascular Clinic - run jointly with brain surgeons for cases that require neuro-intervention.
    • General Radiology Clinic for before and after undergoing the procedure Interventional Radiology.
